Added performance and capability at no extra cost on all of the Hardinge produced VMC II range.

The 600, 800 and 1000 model Hardinge VMC II's have been enhanced with new spindle drives and motors and still start at GBP32,000 for the 600 model.

All of the VMC II's are now equipped with the Hardinge Fanuc Series II control featuring a colour LCD display and a host of standard functions and features.

The spindle drive now has 18% more power and 74% more torque produced at the lower base speed of 1,333 rev/min.

With 13 kW available and 92.3 Nm of torque the range of applications has been extended for both heavy duty roughing applications and high speed finishing.

Capability of the VMC II's at both high and low speeds has been dramatically increased with the introduction of a 2 speed ZF gearbox driven high torque option and a 12,000 rev/min high speed spindle option across the range of machines.

The geared head option has a speed range of 40 to 8,000 rev/min and a maximum torque rating of 176.2 Nm at 375 rev/min enabling heavy duty machining in the toughest work materials.

At the opposite end of the speed range the high speed 12,000 rev/min spindle option presents new opportunities for machining non-ferrous materials at the higher speeds required for smaller diameter cutters.
