Hardinge Machine Tools is confident that its combination of machine tools, racing cars and superbikes on its Stand will draw in the crowds at Autosport.
Hardinge Machine Tools is confident that its combination of machine tools, racing cars and superbikes on its Stand will draw in the crowds at Autosport.
Market-leading machine tool manufacturer and work holding specialist - Hardinge Machine Tools - has announced its line-up for the Autosport Show in January 2007.
As well as exhibiting 4 'under-power' high-performance machines from its milling and turning machine tool ranges - the Hardinge Stand will also reflect the company's passion for motorsport with a Honda Fireblade Superbike and a Radical SR8 racing car - also holding centre stage.
Says David Andrew, Sales and Marketing Director at Hardinge: 'We've taken a big stand at Autosport (10m x 6m) - and it's a good job we have.
'The machine tools we have on show include a 5-AX (5-axis machining centre) with 32m/min rapids, 32 tool position (face and taper) ATC and 30kW 15,000rpm (direct-drive) spindle and a Quest Gang Tool lathe featuring interchangeable tool top plates, a 3.7kW 8,000rpm spindle, 18/24m/min rapids on X and Z and guaranteed continuous production repeatabilities within 5 microns.' In addition to these machines - Hardinge will also be exhibiting a CNC 3-axis Vertical Machining Centre from the company's comprehensive milling product portfolio and an Elite 'quick-changeover bar and chucking lathe' with full C-axis sub-spindle capability.
All 4 machines will be 'under power' at the exhibition and will demonstrate high-precision machining of complex motor sport and automotive components made from a variety of materials - steel, aluminium and exotics etc As well as whetting the appetite of precision manufacturers with its machine tool line-up - Hardinge is bound to get the juices flowing from motor sport enthusiasts and fans too.
Continues David Andrew: 'If you're a Superbike or a racing car aficionado you'll be impressed with what you can see on the Hardinge stand.
For bike fans the new, lighter, stronger and ultra-stable Honda Fireblade CBR1000RR Superbike is bound to pull in the crowds - or if you prefer 4 wheels to 2 - the UK-manufactured Radical SR8 (2.6 litre V8 engine) racing car should do the trick.' Hardinge has a long and proud tradition in the motor sport sector.
The company has always been heavily involved in motor sport sponsorship and 2007 will be no different.
As well as the Honda Fireblade Superbike and Radical SR8 racing car being on the Stand - Tom Tunstall, who rode the Hardinge-Bridgeport Honda CBR600RR in the 2006 Supersport World Championships and Helen Ray, who competed in the 2006 Formula Woman Championships in the Hardinge Caterham 7 racing car - will also be available to share their experiences and give first hand accounts of what life is like in the fast lane.
