Han-InduNet from HARTING is a new concept in standardised installation systems for industrial networks and power distribution in plant and machinery The requirement for open systems has created the need for standardisation of bus protocols and device profiles

Han-InduNet extends this standardisation philosophy into the complete installation.

Han-InduNet applies the DESINA installation concept to both the fieldbus and the power distribution topology.

It provides a standardised installation platform with all the necessary interfaces required to connect field devices from various manufacturers to an industrial network.

A cabling system based on HARTING's Han-Brid standardised connector eliminates wiring errors, and allows field devices from many different manufacturers to be installed in an identical fashion.

This leads to quicker and easier installation with a true 'plug and play' approach in the field.

The Han-InduNet product range includes a number of convertors that allow conventional field devices to be connected to the network.

The integration of a conventional installation can be planned and implemented quickly and easily with standardised network connections, making this a risk-free operation.

DESINA (DistributEd and Standardised INstAllation technology), developed by the VDW (German Association of Machine Tool Manufacturers) and rapidly being adopted as an international standard, is a comprehensive system intended to bring standardisation and decentralisation in the field of fluid technology and electrical installation of machinery and equipment.

It makes use of existing components, such as open bus systems and standard industrial connectors.

By standardising components, interfaces and connection systems (hybrid optical/copper cables, for example), a wide range of different systems can be made compatible on a single physical basis.
