Harting has upgraded its Han 3A family of industrial connector hoods and housings so that they now meet IP67 protection requirements according to DIN EN 60 529 for sealing against dust and moisture ingress in industrial environments The upgrade covers thermoplastic hoods and housings and all metal versions when used in conjunction with a sealing fixing screw

This upgraded rating will allow the use of Han 3A hoods and housings in areas where temporary immersion of the connector fitted with a suitable gland may be expected, thus expanding the installation range of the series.
