A connector module that can handle currents of up to 40A at a working voltage of 830V has been added to the Harting Han-Modular range of heavy-duty industrial connectors The new Han CC protected module has four finger-safe male and female power contacts, and is designed for crimp connection

It can be used with cables from 1.5 to 6mm2 cross-section, and is compatible with Harting's Han B and Han-Modular Compact hoods and housings.

The Han-Modular series is a heavy-duty family of connectors that offers a high degree of interconnection design and manufacturing flexibility.

It allows up to 12 modules - which can include power, single, pneumatic or optical connectors - to be mounted in a variety of combinations within a single housing.

The addition of the Han CC protected module means that users of the Han-Modular system now have more than 20 module types to choose from.

The range of modules available now covers currents from 5A to 200A, voltages from 50V to 5kV, pneumatic tubes from 1.6mm to 6mm inside diameter, sensitive bus signals and fibre-optic signals in plastics and glass fibres.
