Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Jul 24, 2006

High-current industrial connector has eight contacts rated at 100A each and is ideally suited to use in medium-power applications in factory automation and test equipment.

The new high-current Han K 8/0 industrial connector from Harting incorporates eight contacts rated at 100A each.

The new product can be used at voltages up to 690V, and is ideally suited to use in medium-power applications in factory automation, rail transportation, wind turbines and test equipment.

In addition to the eight power contacts, the Han K 8/0 incorporates a protective earth (PE) connection.

The cable termination method is the well-established and easy-to-use axial screw contact.

The Han K 8/0 connector can be mounted in standard construction size 24 B hoods and housings with protection degrees available up to IP 68, or can be used in closed electrical enclosures in conjunction with the Han-Snap range of DIN rail-mounting components.
