Haas Automation Europe breaks records again
Machine tool builder Haas Automation says it has exceeded sales targets in every country - representing a 40% growth through Europe - over the last 12 months.
Speaking at the Haas Automation Europe (HAE), Zaventem (Brussels) showroom at the inaugural Haas Productivity Solutions: 2005, managing director Peter Hall was bullish about the company's prospects at the end of what is shaping-up to be the best year ever, both in Europe and also around the world.
"2005 has been a very busy year," he said.
"HAE has exceeded sales targets in almost every country.
Together with the UK, we will sell over 2,000 machines by the end of the year that's 40% growth in Europe over the past 12 months." Earlier in 2005 Haas Automation general manager Bob Murray announced that the company is on target to achieve annual sales in excess of $1billion by the end of this decade.
Hall, an industry veteran with more than 35 years as a senior manager in the global machine tool sector, is confident that Haas Automation Europe will play a significant role in achieving this goal.
"Haas Automation will sell in excess of 10,000 machines in 2005," he said.
"Almost 5000 of these will be sold in the US market, but I can not see why HAE should not eventually enjoy similar annual sales in Europe.
The largest market in the US is the small to medium sized machine shops.
The same is also true in Europe, where the manufacturing sector is much bigger and the potential so much greater." Hall claims that there is not another company in the world that can, in the same niche, match the Haas offering in terms of product range, price, delivery, service and value.
"80% of companies in our target niche can make 80% of their parts on Haas machines.
That gives us a huge main market," he said.
"Based on what we have experienced so far, I expect annual compound growth in Europe of 25% over the next five years or so.
Personally, I think Haas Automation's global potential is over 20,000 units a year, given our growing product range and cost-efficient business model.".
