The brand new vans are fitted with computer systems allowing the Haas technicians web-based, real-time job information and machine history with a direct link to the UK parts holding inventory, which stands in excess ofGBP £1.9 million.
The computer systems also have access to the worldwide dealer forum.
To further complement the effectiveness of the service department, all Haas technicians continue to undergo an extensive program of re-training and product knowledge education.
The Haas Technical Centre in Leicester has been equipped with three Renishaw ballbar testing units and calibrators, three vibration analysis systems and an assortment of other specialist apparatus.
Andrew Ward, Haas UK engineering director, claimed that there is not another machine tool supplier in the world that can match the Haas offering in terms of service and support.
"These improvements have required a lot of hard work from a lot of people - every area of the company has contributed.
But," he said, "It is what we do.
We set a goal and make it happen.
We are constantly reviewing our processes and implement technology where useful and relevant.
The introduction of these developments takes Haas service and support to a new level and sets the benchmark for our industry." Since late 1990, when the company imported the very first American built HAAS VF-1 into the country, Haas UK has installed and serviced more than 2700 Haas machine units and has won official recognition as the most successful international Haas distributor.
