Horizontal machining centre is the largest-capacity, high-production machine Haas has yet produced, and features a 40in x 32in x 35in work envelope and a 50-taper geared-head spindle Haas Automation's new horizontal machining center - the EC-630 - represents the latest expansion of the company's rugged line of high-productivity HMCs

The Haas EC series machines are proven workhorses, built with a host of productivity features in their standard configuration.

Purchasing expensive options is not required, since the power and performance to cut everything from high-nickel alloy steel to fine-finished aluminum is built into the machines.

The new EC-630 is the latest addition to Haas Automation's line of rugged, high-productivity HMCs.

A logical extension of the EC Series, the EC-630 is the largest-capacity, high-production machine Haas has yet produced.

It features a 40in x 32in x 35in work envelope, 50-taper geared-head spindle, dual pallet changer with 630 mm pallets, 50-pocket side-mount tool changer and a built-in 5 deg pallet indexer.

A high-precision 1 deg indexer or full 4th axis is also available.

Each 630mm pallet handles a 2640 lb load, and the servo-driven pallet-changer swaps pallets quickly.

A separate, protected load station allows the operator to safely load and unload parts or change fixtures on one pallet, while parts are being machined on the other - keeping spindle run-time at a maximum.

The machine's enclosure accommodates parts up to 39.4in in both diameter and height.

For long-cycle production with minimal downtime, the EC-630 is equipped with a large-volume coolant tank and a high-capacity belt conveyor for efficient chip removal.

Also standard are 500-ipm rapids, a floppy disk drive, 1MB of program memory and a 300 lb/in2 through-spindle coolant system.

The inherent benefits of horizontal spindle orientation, including cleaner cutting conditions and extended tool life, simply enhance the machine's capabilities.

Since the EC-630 is backed by the worldwide network of Haas Factory Outlets, its productivity is assured by the best service and support in the industry.
