Compact PC has greater data display
capacity
The latest Beckhoff PC C3300 19-inch, built-in industrial PC (IPC), available from Hayes Control Systems, is compact, exhibits more data and suits restricted behind-panel access.
Building on its experience in developing PC solutions for industrial purposes, Hayes Control Systems announces the UK launch of the new Beckhoff PC C3300 19-inch, built-in industrial PC (IPC) Combining the rugged build-quality expected in industrial computers with a compact design and a large, high-resolution screen, the C3300 represents a significant advance in IPC performance and convenience

Training courses for PLC and motion control
Hayes Control Systems are offering training courses for Beckhoff products based on TwinCAT IEC61131 software, covering PLC, Motion Control and linking data to third party MS Windows applications.
Attention to design detail means that the C3300 incorporates a 12- or 15-inch TFT display without any significant additional increase in the dimensions of the IPC casing.
A great deal more data is therefore exhibited in the user interface window, and the convenience of a compact IPC body is retained.
The carefully designed housing combines a good design - the front plate hinges are totally concealed - with optimum functionality: the folding front plate gives straightforward access to integrated components, and enables quick installation, servicing and expansion of the IPC.

PC and PLC form a DIN rail unit
With the CX series of Embedded PCs, Beckhoff has combined PC technology and modular I/O level to form a DIN rail unit in the control cabinet.
This is a solution particularly suited to applications where the back of the computer is obstructed.
Telescopic rails are also an option for applications where the computer needs to be extracted from the front.
Inside the IPC housing is a selection of high specification components, chosen to deliver high performance in tough, industrial environments.
The C3300 is fitted with either a 400 Mhz Intel Celeron or 500Mhz Intel Pentium III processor on a standard ATX motherboard.
Moreover, there are two ISA slots and one PCI slot for full-build-length PC cards.
Nothing has been left out in terms of equipment options: the C3300 is available with either an alphanumerical PC keyboard, a touch screen or a touch pad.
The front faces are available with full or reduced numerical keyboards between eight and ten height units in size.
The C3300 also offers ten special, additional PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) keys that are software controlled to improve ease and convenience of operation.
Other features include a fieldbus interface, network card, and interface card with CP-Link interface cards for the connection of Control Panels, as well as a modem or ISDN adapter for on-line connectivity.
The system features an SCSI controller and SCSI hard disk, an LS 120, 120 MB Disk drive, and a CD-ROM drive behind the front flap.
The C3300 also has a 24 V DC uninterruptible power supply.
The front face of the C3300 series is constructed to IP67 standards, with the rear face meeting IP20.
As with all Beckhoff IPCs, the C3300 is comprehensively tested for vibration and shock resistance, and offers faultless operation within a temperature range from 0oC to 55oC with up to 95% non-condensing air humidity.
All these features on the C3300 combine to offer users the reliability and sturdiness necessary for computing in industrial conditions.
