Training courses for PLC and motion control
Hayes Control Systems are offering training courses for Beckhoff products based on TwinCAT IEC61131 software, covering PLC, Motion Control and linking data to third party MS Windows applications.
The TwinCAT PLC Temperature Controller runs on any PC installed with TwinCAT, offering a cost effective alternative to traditional hardware devices.
The TwinCAT PLC Temperature Controller represents a further step forward in replacing conventional hardware PLC and NC controllers with fully integrated software solutions.
Temperature control programming is performed using a function block for the TwinCAT PLC, in a standard IEC 61131-3 programming environment.
The software function block belongs to the central PC control intelligence, and allows the user to employ multiple instances of the controller in a single PLC program.
Although there is only one code for the temperature controller, multiple sets of data are generated, allowing any number of data loops to be implemented.
The TwinCAT PLC Temperature Controller is fieldbus neutral and operates independently of whichever sensor/actuator system is installed - for example, the Beckhoff Bus Terminal range offers PT100, thermocouple and 0-10V terminals, for sensor connection, and actuators can be connected to digital bus terminals up to 2A or to analogue terminals.
All the controller parameters can either be viewed in the software PLC for diagnostics, or displayed in a visualisation system, and can also be linked to other function blocks in the PLC.
TwinCAT can be used with almost any SCADA system.
