Control bus system design simplified

HBM's AED9301 digital transducer electronics with Profibus DP V1 provides a user-friendly solution when designing a bus system where the role of the PLC and the tasks of its connected slaves have to be decided The AED 9301 is available in two versions

The AED9301plus allows complete control of filling and batch processes for specialized weighing technology applications in addition to the functions available in the AED 9301basic.

The AED 9301basic is used to digitise condition analog and digital strain gage signals.

It provides digitization without any information loss and subsequently conditions the measuring signal in the microprocessor.

For process steps that are not realized via the PLC, additional I/Os are available for controlling the AED9301basic.

The Profibus DP V1 interface enables parameters to be changed in the AED in acyclic operating mode.

This direct parameter set-up option via the Profibus eliminates the need for a separate service interface.

For this purpose, HBM provides the common GSD file and, in addition, a panel software for acyclic parameter assignment.

The AED versions with IP65 protection are fully fit for industrial use and can be mounted directly to the application thus avoiding further mounting costs. Request a free brochure from HBM UK ...
