Measurement software speeds measurement
set-up

Measurement software has a number of new features, including a transducer database that eliminates the need for setting up the amplifier manually and so speeds measurement set-up.

Catman 4.5, HBM's recently released version of its measurement software, has a number of new features, including a transducer database for fast measurement set-up The transducer database is the core of the software since it eliminates the need for setting up the amplifier manually

Users simply select the transducer type from a list of transducers and catman configures the amplifier automatically.

HBM's standard transducers are included in the transducer database and other transducer types can be added.

Transducers with a transducer identification system such as T-ID or TEDS are the easiest to add.

In the case of T-ID the unique transducer ID number is read out and the associated set-up parameters are loaded from the transducer database to configure the amplifier.

Transducers fitted with TEDS provide a complete set of parameters to the database.

Catman 4.5 scans PC interfaces and automatically recognises connected devices.

Measurement runs can be defined, completed and automated without any programming.

The software allows measured values to be visualised in real time or the log files can be viewed when tests are complete.

The system includes the option of analysing data and creating user-specific applications.

Other new features, such as event monitoring of the measurement channels to view, for example, limit values or digital inputs.

There is also a TestExplorer that provides a fast survey of measured data, and an intelligent data compression that accelerates the graphic representation of data. Request a free brochure from HBM UK ...
