Force transducer aids material testing

A HBM UK product story

A series of force transducers has an accuracy class of 0.05 for improved accuracy when used to determine material properties in testing machines.

HBM has launched its S2 series of force transducers with an accuracy class of 0.05 for improved accuracy when used to determine material properties in testing machines.

The S2 series covers six different measuring ranges from 20N to 1000N and measures both tensile and compressive forces.

All transducers have a standard mounting height of 60mm.

To avoid possible damage caused by high forces during installation, the S2 series of force transducers are fitted with a mechanical overload stop.

This applies to both tensile and compressive forces and operates when the applied force exceeds the nominal (rated) force by a factor of ten.
