Torque flange improvements increase
accuracy
The accuracy of a torque flange has been increased by reducing the effect of temperature variations during measurements.
HBM has improved the accuracy of its T10FS torque flange by reducing the effect of temperature variations during measurements The torque flange's sensitivity has been improved to less than +/-0.05% /10 K and influence on the zero signal is now below +/-0.03 %/10K

Amplifier increases press-fit assembly accuracy
A measurement amplifier simplifies two-channel manufacturing and testing processes, such as press-fit monitoring, to ensure greater fitting accuracy.
Measurement consistency improved for torque
Improvements made to torque measurement equipment enable all SG full bridge amplifiers to be used for torque measurement and measurement shafts also benefit from a rotational measuring system.
Other aspects, such as the linearity deviation and the relative standard deviation of repeatability, have been refined so that the accuracy class can be increased to 0.05.
The use of high-precision torque transducers is very important, especially in the motor industry, where increased accuracy is demanded and faster control systems are used for component simulation purposes.
The T10FS is available in eight models with nominal measuring ranges from 100 Nm to 10 kNm.
Depending on the measuring range the T10FS can be used at rotational speeds of up to 24,000 rpm.
The T10FS has a compact design to save space and costs in the manufacture of test benches.
The design has a lower weight than earlier models reducing the bearing load.
It also has lower mass moments of inertia for reduced dynamic torque during acceleration and braking.
A magnetic or optical speed measuring system, with an optional reference pulse, is available on request.
The T10FS has a choice of electrical interfaces with a frequency output of 10 kHz +/-5kHz and an optional +/-10V analog output, to meet the needs of any application.
The torque flange integrates with all other HBM measurement devices using the frequency output and appropriate PME amplifiers or HBM's MGCplus. Request a free brochure from HBM UK ...
