Combined System Aids Measurement
Engineers

HBM has introduced a new concept by combining the strengths of its MGCsplit with those of its MGCplus to give measurement engineers a single system for both centralised and distributed measurements.

HBM has introduced a new concept by combining the strengths of its MGCsplit with those of its MGCplus to give measurement engineers a single system for both centralised and distributed measurements Previously engineers had to choose one solution or the other but there are advantages and disadvantages of using each method separately

Using a centralised solution means that all transducer cables are connected to the measurement system, while the distributed solution uses a network of stand-alone measurement modules.

The latest HBM system enables the distributed modules of the MGCsplit to be easily connected to the central MGCplus unit using pre-assembled connection cables.

The software ensures full compatibility by considering the combined unit as a single system.

Using the combined system allows test engineers greater flexibility since the concepts can be implemented and combined in a variety of ways.

On test rig applications, for example, the MGCplus unit can be used for day-to-day measurement tasks and then expanded with the MGCsplit as needed with the distributed measurement modules.

For mobile applications, HBM provides IP65 protected measurement modules.

The expansion modules work in a wide range of adverse conditions including extremes of temperature and high humidity.

The combined MGC measuring system gives reliable data, EMC protection and full performance at all times. Request a free brochure from HBM UK ...
