HBM launches force and torque measurement chains

HBM has launched the Fastpress suite series of force and torque measurement chains, which comprises sensors, press-fit electronics and software.

HBM said the chains will enable design engineers and system planners to include efficient and perfectly matched measurement technology in production systems.

Users do not select individual components and try to match performance but select a complete functional system.

The measurement chains are available for force, displacement and torque measurements in production systems.

The measurement chains minimise rejects and reduce costs.

The interfaces between the evaluation electronics and the system controllers range from analogue signals and limit value monitoring to detailed monitoring software that displays and documents the production processes.

Each product package contains relevant software.

The sensor technology can be supplemented with a series of components that simplify the integration in systems and machines.

HBM provides additional support if required to help end users resolve automation tasks during commissioning.
