Cost-effective position sensors in compact package
The Sensing and Control Business of Honeywell has introduced the SR16/SR17 Series Hall Effect Vane Sensors, designed for speed- and position-detection applications.
Its size makes it easy to install where space is limited.
Typical applications include home appliances, medical equipment, vending machines and instrumentation.
The sensor design is modeled on the existing Honeywell LL Series, but with a completely new sensing element and control electronics.
This solid state solution ensures reliability and an accurate, repeatable switching point for detecting levels of liquid.
Electrically robust, the LLE sensor offers reverse polarity, overvoltage, short circuit and transient protection while its digital output facilitates microprocessor compatibility.
Its mode of operation is derived from the principle of total internal reflection.
An LED and photo transistor are housed within a plastic dome at the head of the device.
The presence or absence of liquid on the dome surface determines the output function.
The LLE Series has a supply voltage of 5V DC and an operating temperature range of -25degC to 80degC.
Various housing styles are available.
The product is manufactured at Sensing and Control's facility in Newhouse, Scotland.
