Fixed length collet chucks have no drawback as the collet closes, which is an important feature for dual spindle and sub-spindle lathes, as well as barfeeding applications.

Hydrafeed are now the UK's new agents for the Lexair Fixed Length Collet Chuck - a range of chucks that set a new standard for accuracy, speed and capabilities These new Fixed Length Collet Chucks are easily interchangeable with existing workholding, and are a welcome addition to their Full Bore Collet Chuck range

Fixed length means that there is no drawback as the collet closes, which is an important feature for dual spindle and sub-spindle lathes, as well as barfeeding applications.

The quarter turn quick-change faceplate system is a unique feature of these collet chucks, allowing super fast set-up or collet changeovers, whilst still maintaining unrivalled accuracy.

These collet chucks use industry standard collets (all available through Hydrafeed), whilst emergency collets, serrated collets, or special shapes are also available by special order.

Using the lathe's existing drawtube and actuator, these collet chucks are compatible with all machines using an A-4, A-5, A-6 or A-8 spindle nose, and it1s small body diameter and length eliminates virtually all tool interference problems.

Installation is easy with the help of the unique adaptor nut, and because of it1s small size, lathes acceleration and deceleration will increase with the machine able to run at a much faster revs/min - meaning faster production and less costs.
