Retrofit servo worktable enlarges VMC

A retrofit servo worktable increases the capacity and productivity of most makes of VMC by increasing the X axis capacity by up to 100% so avoiding the cost of buying a larger VMC.
Hydrafeed announce the introduction of the Servo-Slide - a completely new product that increases the capacity and productivity of most makes of vertical machining centre (VMC) The Servo-Slide VMC Work Table is the subject of a patent application, and is designed to enable a VMC to increase its 'X' axis capacity, by as much as 100%, at a fraction of the cost of a VMC with greater 'X' axis

The Servo-Slide consists of a base plate that is fitted to the bed of the VMC, and a moving worktable that travels in the "X" axis.
The base plate is fitted with two heavy-duty parallel rails.
The worktable is fitted with pre-loaded recirculating bearing blocks, ensuring absolute rigidity and smooth movement.
Worktable movement is achieved using a 30mm diameter ball screw and nut, which is driven by a powerful servomotor, that can easily withstand heavy machining cuts.
Control of the Servo-Slide is achieved by incorporating a PLC and HMI screen that allows changes of position, speed, acceleration, and deceleration.
There are 3 control options: 1) a manually operated push button for point to point movement.
2) a series of one M-code signals from the VMC.
3) through the 4th axis facility from the VMC.
