Smoked fish specialists, Nor-Sea, have just taken delivery of a Gemini weigh price labeller from Herbert Industrial

This is to meet the changing needs of their customers, the major retailers.

Supermarkets increasingly want C-wrap labels for tray packed produce and so when the line of kipper fillets was due for a relaunch, this was the ideal time to switch from top labels to C-wrap labels.

But due to the speciality of this Nor-Sea product, the production line for kipper fillets is relatively slow since its speed is limited by the pack sealing unit capacity.

And space in Nor-Sea's factory was also at a premium, so the standard Gemini Flexiwrap was just too fast and too large.

Herbert's newly developed Flexi-fold option met Nor-Sea's specification requirements.

"Our new Gemini, with its C-wrap function, is ideal for the smoked fillet line", commented Ian McFadden, Nor-Sea's Production Director.

"And its compact size fits well in our factory.".
