Productivity doubled on twin spindle HMC
A twin-spindle HMC offers double the productivity for less than double the investment, virtually halves the floor space requirement and minimizes operator involvement.
Heller Machine Tools demonstrated its new twin spindle horizontal machining centre, the MCT160, at the Metav, exhibition this week Designed for medium-high productivity applications, the machine offers double the productivity for less than double the investment, virtually halves the floor space requirement and minimizes operator involvement

Fast HMC to get through automotive volumes
a fast, versatile HMC, developed primarily for higher volumes, typically the automotive industry, features 90m/min fast traverse, acceleration of 12mm/sec2 and and 1.8sec chip-to-chip ATC.
Machining centre machines to close tolerances
A small family-owned business will increase its turnover by 35.2% this year and, on new M-Cs, consistently machines to tolerances which would frighten the majority of engineers.
The machine can be extended to permit five axis machining.
The machine is based on Heller's modular machine design concept, permitting automated operation with either direct loading or a rotating pallet changer.
On the new machine, the spindles work together in X and Y and are independent in Z travel.
The X, Y and Z axes are 450mm, spindle spacing is 460mm.
Rapid traverse is 60m/min for both spindles.
Also on display will be the new MCH 250 and the MC 16.2, equipped with the new tool changer, both of which were demonstrated at the recent MACH show.
The new MC 16.2 is designed for applications demanding high productivity and significantly reduced production costs achieved through reduced idle time.
It provides faster traverse rates (90m/min), faster acceleration (12m/sec2), and even faster chip-to-chip times (1.8sec).
The MCH 250 is a fast, versatile machine developed primarily for higher volumes.
Rapid traverse is 50m/min as standard with 60m/min as an option.
Acceleration is 4m/sec2 with 7m/sec2 as an option.
Chip to chip time is 3.8sec.
