Japanese Tier 1 buys UK-built machining
centres
Toyota Motor Europe manufacturing has ordered 12 MC16 machining centres for its Deeside plant from Heller Machine Tools.

The MC16.2 horizontal machining centre, which complements the other machines in the Heller range, provides fast traverse rates (90m/min), fast acceleration (12m/s2), and fast chip-to-chip times (1.8s).
In process tool monitoring helps eliminate scrap and lost time by providing simultaneous tool breakage detection and integrated process monitoring.
The chain type tool magazine has 40 pockets as standard.
