Hemlock Engineering of Stapleford, Nottingham is to launch its expansion into ultra-high speed aluminium machining and fast response dedicated prototyping and development operation.
Hemlock Engineering of Stapleford, Nottingham is to launch its expansion into ultra-high speed aluminium machining and fast response dedicated prototyping and development operation at the Autosport Engineering Show following the purchase of a £300,000 Mikron XSM 100 U five-axis, 36,000 revs/min machining centre with 10 pallets The company already supplies £100,000 of prototype and production components to the motorsport sector and has invested heavily in SolidWorks with a 3-D modelling specialist, has 13 Haas VFZ SS, 12,000 revs/min vertical machining centres of which six have four-axis units and a Kitamura H200 horizontal machining centre with 10 pallets
There is a team of seven specialist prototype machinists, sub assembly and test engineers out of the 30 people employed and the focus of the business is to provide a fast response service to meet the needs of the sector.
