Henkel Loctite Adhesives has introduced a handy kit containing a range of products specially selected to maintain and repair machinery and systems.

It happens all the time, the engineer finds a maintenance problem but doesn't have the right product to fix it.

Now, Henkel Loctite Adhesives provides the answer, with the introduction of a handy kit containing a range of products specially selected to maintain and repair machinery and systems.

The Loctite Essentials Maintenance Kit is conveniently housed in a tough and highly visible, red polypropylene case.

It has a built in carrying handle and a moulded foam insert keeps everything neatly in its place.

The kit contains nine different products including Loctite 7063, an aerosol cleaner and degreaser for cleaning parts before applying adhesive, bonding or sealing products.

There is a medium strength threadlocker, Loctite 243, which can be used to prevent bolts loosening due to vibration, as well as a high strength retaining compound Loctite 603, used to retain close fitting cylindrical parts such as bearings.

There are instant (Loctite 406) and general-purpose gel (Loctite 454) adhesives together with Loctite 770, a polyolefin primer recommended for use with adhesives when bonding difficult materials such as polypropylene and PTFE.

For repairs to pipework and threaded fittings, the kit includes Loctite 55 pipe sealing cord, and to make any size and shape of gasket Loctite 574 general purpose flange sealant can be used.

The Metal Magic Steel Stick (Loctite 3463) is a kneadable two-part paste, ideal for emergency sealing of leaking tanks and pipes.

It adheres to damp surfaces and can be drilled, filled or painted.

It can also be used to smooth welds, repair small cracks in castings and fill oversize bolt holes.

The kit also contains a handy application guide and product re-order reference.
