Multi-Axis Units In addition to combined bearings and profile rails, the choice of system options include a wide range of heavy duty modules.

These off-the-shelf Multi-Axis Units are driven by either rack and pinion or timing belt and have load capacities of up to 30kN.

Strokes can be up to 12m for a single unit or 30m using joined profiles.

Repeatability is ñ0.5mm, maximum speed is 2m/sec horizontally and 1m/sec vertically .

As is to be expected from a system designed to operate in hostile environments, the units are highly resistant to dirt and contamination.

High Load Lifting Units Customers can also choose from a range of chain or hydraulically driven stationary lifting units and material handling accessories.

In excess of 18,000 options are available within this modular build program, with load capacities extending to 500kN and up to 4-axes of motion.

A stainless steel version for food, medical, electronics and clean room production is also included.

Contd./ - Winkel High Load Lifting Units can be specified as pallet lifts fed by conveyor, as specialist fork lifting units, as tool changers for press tools, lifting platforms for aerospace applications, car body lifting units - the potential is considerable.

A further option is rotation.

Lifting units with a rotary axis are especially useful for coil turning in the steel industry.

To make it easy for the customer to select the Winkel elements best suited to the given application, a CD-ROM has been produced which details the system's permutations.
