Designed for high load and high duty applications such as robot transfer systems for welding and assembly, a heavy duty linear motion kit enables the optimum system to be built.

Arduous linear motion is an application that HepcoMotion caters for exceptionally well.

The products in its HDS Heavy Duty range provide a broad choice of options and include the only ring system available to support loads up to 40kN.

Now with the introduction of MHD (Max Heavy Duty) to the programme, HepcoMotion is considerably extending this unique capability.

Designed for high load and high duty applications such as robot transfer systems for welding and assembly, MHD is supplied as a kit-of-parts enabling the optimum system to be created.

It comprises two basic elements, a set of sealed-for-life bearing blocks - each with three integral large crowned rollers - and a pair of flat tracks on which the blocks run.

The track is 100mm x 40mm, fully ground on all surfaces and is available in single lengths of 1.4m.

These high precision tracks can be simply butted together to provide systems of unlimited length.

To provide superior radial capacity the top roller is a tapered roller bearing, providing exceptional capacity and rigidity.

Side and underneath rollers have eccentric features enabling play to be totally eradicated from the system.

Whilst a standard length high load system would typically have a block in each corner, higher loads and longer systems would be supplied with more than four blocks.

Each block has a maximum load capacity of 5 tonnes.

The existing HepcoMotion HDS offers a choice of either a Mod 3 or 4 straight rack to create a drive for the carriage.

With the introduction of MHD, the options have been extended to include the larger Mod 5 straight cut rack or a Mod 4 helical rack on the vertical face of the slide.
