Bring the quality control department right out onto the shop floor by using a small gantry-like CMM that has excellent vibration damping characteristics and dimensional stability.

Why not bring the quality lab right out onto your shop floor? It's possible with a Discovery co-ordinate measuring machine (CMM) With proven performance since 1997, the Discovery was designed from the ground up to be a shop floor machine

The current model Discovery II is the second generation of a machine that is being used successfully in shop floors as well as in quality labs around the world.

In today's manufacturing environment, where speed and flexibility is a key, Discovery is the ideal replacement of hand gauging tools.

You can inspect parts with far more speed, precision, repeatability and flexibility at an affordable price.

This small gantry-like CMM base frame is made of Zanite polymer concrete casting.

This material, that represents an innovation for the CMM world, is successfully used in the US for over 25 years in other application segments.

It features excellent vibration damping characteristics and dimensional stability.

No air supply is needed.

Instead of air bearings, Discovery utilises hardened machine tool recirculating ball bearings, running at just a fraction of their rated load.

This contributes to long life, and lower maintenance costs.

Discovery II is the only really portable CMM.

Every Discovery comes with a movable stand with locking casters.

Since the only hookup required is a 110/220V electrical outlet, you can place it nearly anywhere, and move it any time you like.

In most cases, a recalibration is not necessary after it's been moved.

This feature makes the Discovery perfect for cellular manufacturing environments.

Discovery II line is available in three sizes to suit most parts dimensional inspection: D8 - X= 500mm, Y = 600mm, Z = 400mm; D12 - X= 500mm, Y = 900mm, Z = 400mm and the D28 - X= 760mm, Y = 1000mm, Z = 600mm.

Discovery is equipped with PC-DMIS, the interactive graphics package that simplifies and streamlines measuring and programming of ordinary as well as most exotic applications, providing fast and precise data analysis and a fully configurable intuitive graphic user interface for inspection reports.

Exclusive CAD interface options provide a direct path from CAD data to part programming, graphic simulation and inspection results.
