End mill raises routing efficiency
Solid carbide end mill can provide sustainable improvements in routing efficiency, irrespective of the strength of the machine and the kind of machining operation to be performed.
Hitachi Tool places considerable emphasis on research and development, and it is this company policy that has enabled Hitachi Tool to continuously generate innovative tool solutions, in particular to meet and anticipate the requirements of the tool and die and mould-making industries Constantly increasing costs in the field of tools and dies and mould-making make reduced cycle times and more efficient machining processes essential

Miniature end mill replaces EDM detailing
Solid carbide miniature end mill is for cutting deep ribs and the slotting in moulds, and also for machining deep corners and precision parts, normally done by EDM methods.
Ball end mill machines fine details, replaces EDM
Solid carbide miniature ball end mill has machines deep corners and precise details, as well as slots and ribs, which has conventionally been done with EDM methods.
In order to meet these requirements, Hitachi Tool has developed the new toric solid carbide ETMEpoch Turbo Mill end milling cutter.
This tool can provide sustainable improvements in routing efficiency, irrespective of the strength of the machine and the kind of machining operation to be performed.
The ETM Epoch Turbo Mill provides the user with a completely new technology.
The oval cutter arrangement prevents vibrations being generated even when shaping deep contours.
Furthermore, the ETM Epoch Turbo Mill has an extremely sturdy radius cutter, enabling excellent feeds per tooth.
To enable the volumes of chip produced in such operations to be safely and quickly removed, this routing bit features particularly large flutes.
This means that routing operations can be performed in a far shorter time, which is yet another factor contributing to vastly improved efficiency.
The ETM Epoch Turbo Mill is available as two types.
The short version is available in 8 different sizes from 2 to 12mm diameter.
The long version is available in 14 different sizes, all with reduced shanks and effective lengths of up to 9xD.
In addition, all the routing bits in this series feature optimised corner radius.
ETM Epoch Turbo Mill Tool type - toric solid carbide end milling cutter: * Material - microscopic fine-grained substrate.
* Coating: - TH45+ (Nano-PVD-Coat).
* Corner radius tolerance: - 0.015mm * Dimensions - short from 2 to 5mm diameter with a shank-type A; from 6 to 12mm diameter with a parallel shank-type B or long from 4 to 12mm diameter with a reduced shank-type C.
* Effective lengths - up to 9xD.
