Subcontractor tools up for offshore opportunities
Setting its sights on an increasing share of the specialist offshore sector, a subcontractor has invested in a Daewoo Puma 500MB chucking lathe, to increase turning capacity.
Being manufactured as a single unit, the Lock Liners are extremely rigid, allowing close hole proximity and are therefore particularly appropriate for use in aircraft wing assembly jigs.
Rebates in the lock liners fix the drill head securely into the bushing by a simple locking turn, so ensuring that every hole is drilled true and straight (an essential pre-requisite for aircraft assembly work) thus preventing undue stress in the fixing rivets or bolts.
In addition to the standard range of ten sizes Brauer, has also introduced a series of special and variant options.
Air feed Lockscrews and Air Feed Liner bushes are also available.
