Filter/regulator/lubricator is for heavy
duty
A family of industrial air preparation equipment now includes a massive heavy duty 2 inch filter/regulator/lubricator intended for the main line of large compressed air distribution systems.
Hoerbiger-Origa has extended its Airfit family of industrial air preparation equipment with the introduction of a massive heavy duty G2 (2 inch) filter/regulator /lubricator or FRL, called the A50 series Intended for use in the main line of larger compressed air distribution systems, few units of this size are available to users in areas such as plant engineering, building construction and automotive production where pneumatics is used as a key prime mover

Clever system keeps conveyor belting on the rolls
A closed-loop tracking device just developed by Hoerbiger-Origa solves the perennial problem of high speed conveyor belting gradually running off its rolls.
As the A50 is destined for tough duties wherever it is installed, Hoerbiger-Origa has gone for the most robust of designs so that it will run and run with minimum maintenance.
But that is not to say it is low tech: indeed the features built into the A50 put it at the cutting edge of plant and equipment developments.
For instance, its pneumatic or electronic pilot control allows the A50 series to be integrated into the most modern compressed air management systems; while its filter water separator is based around an efficient Dyson-like cyclone separator which provides simultaneous two-stage separation using both centrifugal force and filter media.

Precision linear indexing ensured success
When developing a new high performance hygienic seal film printing machine, precision linear indexing was recognised as the keyto success.
This ensures a minimised pressure drop across the separator and makes adjustment easy.
A contamination indicator and automatic drain valve are incorporated into the separator.
The A50's lubricator will typically act as the central lubricator system for large plants, so has been designed to provide central monitoring of a large number of lubrication points and have low maintenance requirements so that its running cost are low.
Further characteristics include the fact that the lubricator can be refilled without taking the FRL off-line and there is an optional oil refilling system for even easier maintenance.
There are two options for the start/stop valve, 2/2 and 3/2 way, and a choice of two pressure regulators, standard and precision.
Other options available include special solutions for various media, various types of mounting bracket, a differential pressure gauge for the central lubricator, a Viton version for high temperatures, an integrated pilot valve and a G1/12 (1.5in) ported version.
All these designed-in features ensure that Hoerbiger-Origa's A50 series FRL provides: high operating reliability and availability, extremely high flow rates, low pressure drops, long filter service life through large filter surface area and that the output air is free from silicone and release agents.
