Valve automates condensate management
An automatic drain valve expands the operating range of the Airfit range of air preparation filters, regulators and lubricators in terms of temperature and pressure.
Hoerbiger-Origa's automatic drain valve, for its Airfit range of air preparation filters, regulators and lubricators, expands the operating temperature and pressure range A design-for-manufacture reappraisal of the Airfit units has lead to a price reduction over the earlier units, while a reduction in overall size has also helped open up the range's appeal to a wider range of applications

Mouse-sized pressure control valve is intelligent
Smaller than a computer's mouse, an intelligent proportional pressure control valve uses a piezo chip which functions as a continuously operating 3/2 way pilot control valve.
Clever system keeps conveyor belting on the rolls
A closed-loop tracking device just developed by Hoerbiger-Origa solves the perennial problem of high speed conveyor belting gradually running off its rolls.
Whereas the proven Airfit automatic drain valve was designed for ambient temperatures up to 70 deg C, the maximum ambient and medium temperature for the new valve, depending on version, is 120 deg C.
The maximum working pressure is now 20 bar instead of 16 bar.
Like its predecessor, the Origa automatic drain valve is designed for use with the series A50 (1.1/2in and 2in), A25 (3/4in and 1in) and Comfort (1/2in).
The valves' compact design makes them compatible with the Airfit swing series (1/4in and 3/8in).
This rationalisation of the range will lead to further cost saving for users, who can reduce stockholding and need not learn the installation and maintenance procedures for two different products.
Coinciding with the launch of the automatic drain valve, Origa has also introduced a drain valve which combines manual and semiautomatic operation into one unit for the first time.
Product manager Werner Zipperer said: "Our aim here was to make ordering easier for our customers. Request a free brochure from Hoerbiger-Origa ...
With product catalogues in our branch becoming thicker and thicker, we wanted to show that some things could become simpler.".
