Houghton have announced a new European range of Cut-Max neat cutting oils in January this year which takes advantage of their leading technology throughout Europe for all common neat oil applications including gear machining, gun drilling, broaching, honing and turned parts.
Products are also available for specialist applications such as tool grinding, valve stem grinding and mist-applied micro-lubrication.
Each of the new range of 30 products has a track record of proven performance in critical applications among Europe's largest engineering manufacturers.
Of special importance to the UK is that the range is completely chlorine-free to help protect the environment and to ensure disposal costs for customers are minimised.
New hazard classifications and waste legislation coming into force will be increasing disposal costs both for waste oils and oil laden swarf.
Marketing manager Roy Ferrington said: "The UK market in general has lagged behind the rest of Europe in its demand for chlorine-free neat cutting oils.
New waste regulations will change this and the Cut-Max Europe range means that our customers will be able to minimise disposal costs while at the same time use the more advanced technology to save money by improving machining performance." Houghton offers a complete package of products, service, equipment and expertise and is one of the worlds leading suppliers of industrial production lubricants and fluid management services.
