New Head Of Worldwide Product Management

In his new role, Saueressig will oversee the offset, CTP, Prinect workflow and used equipment sectors.
The area supports Heidelberg in launching new products and provides a point of contact between development and sales.
Defining his new role, Saueressig said: "In the print media industry, the success of a manufacturer like Heidelberg depends on its ability to identify customer requirements in time, incorporate them in to new products and launch them on to the market quickly.
That's where my team and I intend to provide the cutting edge." Saueressig was previously the managing director of Heidelberg Druckmaschinen Vertrieb Deutschland (HDD).
As far back as the 1970s and 1980s, he was responsible for national and international assignments as a member of various sales departments in the company.
In 1988, he took charge of the Heidelberg agency in Taiwan at that time, Yuan Pao.
From 1990 to 1996, he was head of Westjapan, the Heidelberg branch based in Osaka.
From 1996 to 1997, he headed sales and marketing for the Speedmaster series SM/CD 102.
From 1997 to 1998, he was head of the newly acquired Linotype-Hell sales organisation in Eschborn and charged with integrating the company in to the Heidelberg Group.
From 1998 to 1999, he led the Heidelberg branch in Munich, before becoming managing director of HDD in 1999.
