20 years for Robert
A Senior sales manager at a Lancashire-based specialist distributor is celebrating 20 years service.
Robert Falk, sales manager at Henry Halstead of Bamber Bridge, Preston, joined the company from Sainsbury's in 1984 and has seen it grow to become one of the UK's largest suppliers of small components and consumables to the manufacturing industries Its clients are medium to large sized original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) spread throughout the UK, including Baxi Group, Denso Marston, Glen Dimplex Group, Explorer Group and Swift Group

He has played a major role in the success of the company throughout the past twenty years." The company, which employs 63 people in two sites in Preston and Sunderland, supplies over 40,000 components, fasteners and consumables via its Kanban system.
The Henry Halstead Kanban system is based on Japanese originated principles, developed to provide a full vendor managed inventory service.
A very broad range of parts are supplied in tote bins direct to the manufacturing assembly points, and are replenished through the use of Halstead's computer systems and support staff.
