Plugs seal pipes to be welded ready for
purging

Pipe plugs are used to seal all pipes and orifices on any pipe work assembly while the volume is being purged ready for welding.

Huntingdon Fusion Techniques now manufactures 17 models of Argweld pipe plug for purging pipes to be welded The range is manufactured to suit pipe/tube bores from 12 to 150mm (0.5 - 6.0 inches) diameter with the expansion range of each one overlapping the next, to cover the whole range of imperial and metric pipe and tube sizes

The waterways of the hollow shaft models are threaded to accept BSP connectors and the plugs are supplied with plain end caps containing a rubber seal.

This allows them to be used to seal all pipes and orifices on any pipe work assembly while the volume is being purged ready for welding.

Plain nozzle connectors for attaching argon hoses are also available as accessories.

Argweld plugs are fully demountable for cleaning and part replacement.

The shaft has an 'O' ring seal and a locking key to ensure that the bottom plate is securely locked and sealed on reassembly to give an absolutely leak tight seal. Request a free brochure from Huntingdon Fusion Techniques ...
