Used widely in tube and pipe welding, water soluble purge material kits have been nearly halved in cost thanks to new production techniques.
Water soluble purging materials are used widely in tube and pipe welding, where it is not practical or convenient to extract mechanical purging devices after welding In addition, educational and training establishments find the use of water soluble materials more convenient, so that they can make their own weld purge dams as and when required

Argweld Purge Film kits are now almost half the cost of any other equivalent quantity of water soluble weld purge material.
Argweld purge film is a water soluble plastic which dissolves down to molecular size in water so all traces are removed from the pipe when it is washed out or hydrostatically tested after welding.
The film kits include two bottles of water soluble adhesive, 20 square metres of film, a safety knife to cut the dams and a set of working instructions with guidance about weld purging procedures.
