Backing tape prevents weld failure
Backing tape used in the welding of seams or runs help to prevent weld failures and produce flat, slag-free welds requiring no grinding or backgouging.
In a very short time, Phil Jones or Condaire, called the distributor and said that "The Argweld Purge Monitor did the trick and showed us exactly where the problem was".
Condaire purchased the monitor for future work.
The Argweld Purge Monitor is a low cost, hand held, battery powered, portable unit making it easy to use in the workshop or out on site.
It can be used to measure the oxygen level in the welding of stainless steel pipes and pipe work fabrications as well as for welds being made in welding enclosures or chambers.
It will measure oxygen levels down to 500 parts per million by connecting it to the exhaust flow of the purge gas or by taking samples of the gas quality in the purge space from time to time.
Savings achieved by using this monitor will pay for it in only a few welds.
The welders know exactly when sufficient oxygen has been removed saving in waiting time, unnecessary gas consumption and eliminating the risk of making an oxidised or coked weld. Request a free brochure from Huntingdon Fusion Techniques ...
