Backing tape prevents weld failure
Backing tape used in the welding of seams or runs help to prevent weld failures and produce flat, slag-free welds requiring no grinding or backgouging.
The gauge measures force from 0 1000 kg switchable between kg, N, and lb and the swivelling and rotating head assembly allows easy access to weld electrode configurations.
The tough hand tool weighs only 1085gm and incorprates a safety device to prevent operator injury in the event of electrodes being misaligned.
The force gauge is said to be accurate to 0.2 % of reading, giving a possible error of 2kg at full scale.
It also has an automatic peak hold facility thus enabling the reading to be retrieved if the large LCD screen were not visible to the operator at the time the test was made.
Other features include a facility for the operator to zero the gauge, replaceable insulated target pads, rechargeable battery with charger and rugged carrying case.
A calibration certificate is supplied with each instrument. Request a free brochure from Huntingdon Fusion Techniques ...
