Weld trailing shield costs reduced
Reduced cost of manufacturing trailing shields - already in wide use throughout the world's welded fabrication industries - will allow them to be used in applications previously considered uneconomic.
Following a thorough examination of manufacturing costs Huntingdon Fusion Techniques (HFT) has invested in advanced tooling for use in the manufacture of trailing shields and is now able to pass the savings on to its customers The expected savings will be significant and thus extend the use of trailing shields, already in widespread use throughout the world to protect stainless steel during welding, to applications previously considered uneconomic
