Weld purge for large diameter pipes
Weld purge alignment problems have been overcome by COB in USA by using self-aligning Quick Purge systems from HFT for large diameter pipes.
HFT distributor COB reported alignment difficulties using standard weld purge systems in large diameter pipes HFT Quick Purge system were introduced to COB, a self aligning purge arrangement
During a demonstration of Quick Purge it became clear that not only could the alignment problem could be overcome, but that significant time and gas savings could be achieved.
COB placed orders for a range of systems covering the pipe diameter range 250 to 800mm (10 to 32 inches) to the value of GBP2500 for immediate delivery from HFT stock in the UK.
The equipment will be used during a significant expansion of engineering and processing facilities at Cove Point in Chesapeake Bay, one of the USA's largest LNG import facilities.
