The overall range of products covers everything between 12 and 1000 mm and includes a selection of inflatable bags capable of sealing spherical and rectangular orifices.
Special versions can be made to order-an major advantage offered by HFT because of its unique position as designer and manufacturer.
At the small end of the expandable range (12 to 150 mm diameter) the most commonly used product is based on a nylon body which can be supplied with a natural or synthetic rubber sealing ring depending upon the application environment.
Steel-based designs cover between 50 and 1000 mm whilst aluminium is employed for applications between 37 and 1000 mm.
Expandable devices operate by applying a radial force onto the flexible seal through a manually operated screw within the base.
Inflatable stoppers are constructed using a latex inner tube and a polythene impregnated nylon outer cover.
They can be made to accommodate diameters between 300 and 1800 mm but can also be produced to seal rectangular and even irregular shapes. Request a free brochure from Huntingdon Fusion Techniques ...
