Pipe weld purging products get
Australian interest
With many major Australian pipeline programmes under way, Huntingdon Fusion techniques had a timely presence at an Australian exhibition where there was much interest in pipe purging products.
Australia's main manufacturing exhibition, Austech 2007, held in Melbourne during May has been recognised as the best for many years Huntingdon Fusion Techniques (HFT) was represented there by development engineer Jon Lewis who joined the staff of HFT sole distributor Perfect Welding Solutions (PFW) for a week
PFW is part of the Smenco Group in Australia.
Lewis experienced traditional 'Aussie' hospitality but also impressed PFW with his knowledge and diligence.
It turned out to be a most worthwhile trip for HFT, whose products were well received generally by exhibition visitors.
Major current Australasian projects include desalination and offshore gas and oil developments, in which extensive pipeline production is involved.
