Husky plans to introduce an expanded line of rapid delivery Proto hot runners, Hylectric machines and a one stage Index Stretch Blow (ISB) machine at K 2001 Located in Hall 13, on stand A65, the Husky Injection Moulding Systems exhibit will include multiple systems moulding parts as well as displays which will highlight hot runner components and complete hot halves

On display too will be stack moulds, PET preform moulds, robots and Quadloc large tonnage machines.

The new Ultra 500, 750 and 1000 hot runner nozzles are in addition to the UltraFlow tip and UltraBalance manifold mixing technologies for enhancing cavity-to-cavity homogeneity and balance.

The line of rapid delivery Proto configurable hot runners will be expanded to include the Ultra 500 and 750 nozzles in 2, 4, and 8-drop manifold and hot half systems.

The single-stage ISB machine is for bottle and container manufacturing and is targeted at the lower volume PET applications where product flexibility and rapid tooling changeover times are important.

The ISB is based on Husky's proven Index machine platform.

On the stand, Husky will be operating a 900kN Hylectric machine with a 24-cavity, hot runner closure mould.

There will be a 1600kN Hylectric machine running a two-cavity housewares mould and a Husky TE3 top entry robot.

An 8000kN Hylectric machine will operate a two-cavity pail mould.

Another Husky machine, of 3000kN capacity will demonstrate in-line compounding for long fibre filled parts in a one-step process at the Werner und Pfleiderer booth in Hall 14, Stand C17.

Husky builds Hylectric machines from 900kN to 10,000kN and Quadloc, two-platen, hydro-mechanical machines from 13.5MN to 80MN.

All machines operate with Windows-based Polaris Control.

By the bye, Husky has recently launched a Plastics Training website.

It gives a single source of information on training courses and programs.

Included a re courses on SPC, PET processing and preventative maintenance.
