Retrofit CNC raises long bed miller productivity
Control reliability and ease-of-use were the key factors in a subcontrac tor's decision to change to GE Fanuc for the CNC and drives of a long-bed, travelling gantry Cincinnati machining centre.
Tim Price, director of HNC looked at a number of different systems and believes only the Renishaw Gold package met with HNC's stringent requirements, adding that it is not only their aim to constantly increase the accuracy of their customer's rebuilt machines but to offer new and existing customers the facility of having machinery recalibrated in their own workshops by one of HNC's technicians.
Price pointed out that if the machine is mechanically sound, they can often recalibrate to a greater accuracy than when it was new.
This service is available to all machine tool and CCM users, and if you would like to discuss what laser calibrating can do for you, call Tim Price at HNC.
