Wilo acquires leading British pump
manufacturer
German pump manufacturer, Wilo, has acquired Circulating Pumps, which manufactures wet-runner heating circulating pumps and products involved in domestic water supply.
Wilo, the parent company of Wilo (UK), which operates successfully here in the UK from its Burton-on-Trent HQ, has acquired the Kings Lynn-based company Circulating Pumps (CPL) With this acquisition, the German pump manufacturer Wilo has further extended its trademark across Europe

A leading manufacturer of pumps and pumping systems, has launched a new fully interactive website to give installers and specifiers access to a wealth of product knowledge.
CPL has an annual turnover of EUR 18 million and employs 150 people in and around Kings Lynn.
The British company manufactures wet-runner heating circulating pumps and products involved in domestic water supply.
More than half of its products are exported, mainly to Western European customers.
In those markets where the CP brand has become established, it will be retained as the trading name.
Two of the previous owners of CPL - managing director Fraser Douglas, and commercial manager Peter Daykin - will continue to manage the business day to day, in their current roles, and help to transfer the company to Wilo AG board control during a transition period.
With the takeover of the company, which has developed an enviable reputation for excellent customer relations in Great Britain and Europe, the Wilo Group will benefit from a further strengthening of its international market position.
One of the key benefits of CPL is its cost-effective manufacturing approach.
It is also anticipated that CPL could become the hub of a profitable international parts procurement operation.
