Conventional thermal imaging system is limited in its accuracy for high temperature process applications but this system measures upt o 3600degC through standard ports and windows.

When used for high temperature process applications, the conventional thermal imaging system is limited in its accuracy and usefulness by several factors Firstly the spectral response is normally limited to the mid-to-far infrared part of the useable spectrum, which will result in significant errors due to emissivity changes and viewing through ports or windows can be expensive or even impossible

Secondly the images can be obscured by "blooming" due to saturation by the intense energy emitted at high temperatures.

Finally conventional thermal imaging systems incorporate many features that are redundant for process applications resulting in unnecessary expenditure on unused features.

The Mikron 9100 Series Pyrovision addresses these limitations and in so doing achieves a technological breakthrough in high temperature thermal imaging.

The specific features of the Pyrovision are: a.

Temperatures from 600 to 3600 deg C.

b.

Operates at a narrow spectral band at near infrared region, minimising emissivity errors.

c.

Can view through standard ports and windows e.g Quartz, Pyrex and Sapphire.

d.

Patented un-cooled 776 x 484 pixel array detector, producing bloom free images.

e.

Fast response, 30 frames a second, permitting real time imaging of dynamic processes, f.

Image storage and manipulation using PC software package The Pyrovision is available with a selection of temperature spans and lens to suit almost all applications e.g from furnace surveys to lamp filament temperatures.

Using the Mikron long distance microscopic lens attachment spatial resolution of less than 2 x 2 micrometres can be achieved.

The Pyrovision is equally at home in both research and manufacturing environments with a comprehensive range of accessories available.
