Sheet metal components measured
accurately
Planar sheet-metal/flat-sheet measurement systems can measure a component's height and shape millions of times at an accuracy of up to +/-0.025mm.
The UK based InspecVision have chosen the MACH exhibition in Birmingham to launch their new range of Planar sheet-metal/flat-sheet measurement systems They will be exhibiting the Planar system in Hall 4, Stand 4729

Program covers manual/DCC vision measurement
Wilcox Associates has released CAD-based 3D vision measurement program for manual and DCC vision measurement systems, multi-sensor measurement systems and vision probe CMMs.
The requirement for the Planar system was conceived by Mike Antonis who has nearly 30 years experience in the sheet metal industry and who, as a previous managing director of the largest sheet metal fabrication plant in Ireland, realized that a need existed for an affordable, fast and robust sheet metal inspection system.
The inspection system produced to meet this requirement was developed by Dr Jan Antonis drawing upon his PhD in Computer Vision and Dr Robert Hamilton who holds a PhD in Robotics, and has acquired over twenty five years experience in the design of complex electrical and electronic machinery for industrial use.
With a single click the InspecVision Planar range of products can measure a component's height and shape millions of times at an accuracy of up to +/-0.025mm.
Measurements can then be used to inspect, reverse engineer, measure a component's thickness/flatness, convert printed CAD drawings into DXF drawings, create 3D models of the component, measure bent tubes, and many other tasks.
Measuring table sizes range from 0.35m2 to 2.85m2.
The patented Planar system is totally unique and particularly remarkable because unlike competing systems which have expensive moving parts the Planar system has no moving parts to recalibrate or wear out.
Furthermore, because the system measures components in less than 1/8th of a second it is almost impervious to vibrations and can be installed right next your production machine.
Prices start at 1/3 of those of the lowest priced competing systems.
