Supporting arc fitting and CIP oblique circular interpolation, a post-processor's user friendly customizations permit for an easy control over the essential high speed machining functions.

ICAM Technologies Corporation, developer and supplier of the world's most advanced NC post-processing software technology and Siemens, the recognized leader in motion control systems, has announced the release of the CAM-POST Sinumerik 840D CNC post- processor The CAM-POST Sinumerik 840D is designed to offer the manufacturing industry a post-processing solution that is specifically integrated to perform with the advanced functionalities of the Siemens Sinumerik 840D CNC

The CAM-POST NC post-processor for Siemens is available in three different models for both imperial and metric output: Basic - a 3-axis mill post-processor for the mold and die industry.

It is intended mainly for Sinumerik 802 controllers.

The post-processor supports arc fitting and CIP oblique circular interpolation.

The post-processor's user friendly customizations permit for an easy control over the essential high speed machining functions.

Intermediate - a 3-axis mill post-processor for the Mold and Die Industry.

It is intended mainly for Sinumerik 810 and Sinumerik 840 controllers.

The post-processor supports arc fitting, CIP oblique circular interpolation and standard canned cycles.

The post-processor also supports a highly customizable high speed machining feature based on the Sinumerik CYCLE832 cycle.

Advanced - a 5-axis mill post-processor for the Aerospace Industry.

It is designed to support 5-axis machine tools and 840D advanced 5-axis machining features.

The post-processor permits for tangential arc fitting, NURBS fitting, CIP oblique circular interpolation, NURBS interpolation and standard canned cycles.

It supports RTCP programming based on 840D TRAORI function and Local Coordinates System programming.

It also supports a highly customizable high speed machining feature based on the Sinumerik CYCLE832 cycle.

"The CAM-POST Sinumerik 840D NC post-processor provides the worldwide manufacturing environment with a strong and reliable NC post-processing solution specifically geared to meet the needs of customers using the Siemens Sinumerik 840D motion controller," said Sam Chehab, Vice President of International Sales for ICAM Technologies.

"We have been true to our vision in providing a second to none, best-in-class solution." About the Siemens Sinumerik 840D CNC - the Sinumerik 840D is a sophisticated system platform with trend-setting functions for almost all technologies.
