IDM Instruments has released a new range of Universal Testing Machines, the Digital Line (DL) The Digital Line range will now replace the existing T model Universal Testing Machines for twin column testing machines

The DL range incorporates the quality characteristics as the existing range, with improvements made to the computer software, fixtures as well as offering a larger range across the DL line.

The DL range is designed to suit a variety of testing procedures such as compression, tensile, indentation and many more.

To accommodate these testing procedures, the machines can be fitted with a selection of grips and fixtures, as well as extensometers.

A significant aspect of IDM Instruments is that we are able to customize testing machines to suit customer's specific requirements.

In this case, IDM Instruments can specially design grips or fixtures to suit your testing needs.

Featuring a robust design, and using electro mechanic concept, the Universal Testing Machine allows for testing of virtually any materials including foam, plastics, metals, paper, textiles and various others, made available in different capacities, depending on specific testing requirements.

Capacities range from 5kN up to a forceful 1,000kN.

For those complex testing requirements, machines can also be manufactured with 3 testing spaces.

The inside grips for testing larger capacities, and outside grips for testing smaller capacities, eliminating the requirement to lift heavy materials and change fixtures regularly.

Operation of the DL range is made via the front control panel, at an easily accessible height.

All DL range Universal Testing Machines operate using TESC built-in software, featuring digital display for load and deformation, test speed control and automatic return, database for test results, statistics among samples, and several other features.

Operators are also able to save test results, as well as print test reports.
